How to manage staff roles and moderate your community
Give presenters and moderators their own sign-in with staff roles, then approve comments, delete chat messages, mute members and block abusive networks.
Radiocast Sites ·
Staff roles give presenters, editors and moderators their own sign-in on your site, with only the permissions they need. Everything they do is recorded in the audit log.
Which roles come built in?
| Role | Can |
|---|---|
| Station Manager | Everything |
| Moderator | Posts, inbox, members, comments & chat, IP bans, audit log |
| Editor | Write and publish news, read the inbox |
| Presenter | Write news, edit the schedule |
You can create your own roles and choose their permissions under Team → Roles. Staff can only manage people ranked below them.
How does staff sign in?
Staff sign in at /account/login on your site and open the staff dashboard at /staff.
How do you moderate comments and chat?
Anyone with the Moderate comments & chat permission can:
- approve, hide or delete comments
- delete chat messages, which disappear for everyone instantly
- mute a member for 10 minutes, an hour, a day, a week or until lifted
They can do this right on the page or from Community in the dashboard.
